Sarah Palin And "Racism" A Photo Essay

Sincere sorrow is shared after hearing the news out of South Carolina. Our prayers are for the victims and their families suffering enormously from this disgusting, despicable attack in Charleston last night. My heart goes out to the community. What they're made to go through now is inexcusable. On this day of darkness, small rays of light can sometimes be found -- some will find light on a Facebook post that was written by someone much more gracious and mature in our faith than I. Find it here:

Palin offers Harriet Tubman as a possible face for the new $10 note

Palin asked her Facebook fans on Sunday which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year — the Confederate flag or Planned Parenthood?

Her answer comes in the form of a hashtag: "#DefundPlannedParenthood."

Governor Palin;"I love this man. Congratulations, Sheriff Clarke and felicitades those who served in the great state of Wisconsin.
I was honored to speak at the last annual meeting of the NRA with Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr., and after hearing him demonstrate for freedom and self-responsibility was clear that the voters of Milwaukee had a valuable opportunity to raise this extraordinary leader; we should all be grateful that have done so. His recent election victory has occurred despite the huge amounts of cash that flooded the airwaves against. The anti-Second Amendment groups encouraged him met an epic failure. This is good news! This is David against Goliath! Please see this great opinion piece written by a true leader of the United States."

Sarah Palin Act 2; Ready For Hillary

Sarah Palin Act 2

It would of course be absolutely correct to advise that "Sarah Palin Act 2" would be a well out date topic given her numerous "rebirths" since 2008-taking her vice-presidential nomination as an arbitrary starting point.

Her resignation as Governor of Alaska, rebirth as a television "reality show" star, media pundit, then a bus tour media frenzy possible presidential run, Fox pundit, ex-Fox pundit, Fox pundit again and various other manifestations of Palin activity can all be assigned as Acts 2 through-well the number would be arbitrary and anyone's guess.

However, a constant running through all these activities and media speculations was that the personality, or rather persona of Sarah Palin who rocked the political world to its foundations at the Republican convention in 2008, was basically the same from then till now.

Certainly there were low moments where the basic, almost impenetrably bounciness that friend and foe alike have come to know as "Sarah Palin" seemed to lose a little of its normally 1000 watt brightness but for the most part the sunny uplands that was the visage and aura of Palin remained pretty much the same.

Until her address at The Western Conservative Summit meeting in Denver

The absolutely correctly appellated "Virginia Gentleman" a stalwart of the long term Palin support site "Conservatives4Palin" commented, in his unique manner, on her address " Watch the fire in her eyes. The firm and purposeful set of her jaw. The supremely confident body language. You are looking at the woman who will be POTUS45."

Such near hagiography is understandable from long term supporters, and finds its expression from amongst those who are emotionally and, it is fair to say, spiritually dedicated to advancing the cause of Governor Palin.

But, even if such strength of feeling is distilled from the particular event which gave rise to it, I believe even a dispassionate observer, in fact it would be, perhaps, not going to  far to say that even a political enemy, would see that something has happened to the previously well known personality.

What ever number of "acts' on the political, media or what ever else level eventuate, they will be happening under "Act two" of a new Palin persona. "Virginiana Gentleman" is correct, what was shown in Denver was a gravitas not seen heretofore.

Certainly a vigorous Palin, an angry Palin, has been on display during speeches and interviews but the basic imperturbable person was not far below the surface and soon bounced back, usually preceded by a quip or a take down.

What was noticeable was that even with, what is normal for a speaker, Palin's opening light hearted remark seemed almost throwaway rather than given with the bounciness that such remarks usually were made with.

Anyone who was at the speech, or who watched it on video, would have noted a clear change of mood from many previous address that I can recall. Here was a sober,(but certainly not sombre) sharp witted, at times caustic with a sabre-not the wooden sword of past speeches Palin.

This Palin, if asked by Charlie Gibson what her attitude to "the Bush doctrine" was would have said not "in what respect Charlie" but "Mr. Gibson you and perhaps 1% of Americans would be the only people with a clue as to what the purported :Bush doctrine is but I'll answer your question anyway."

This "Act 2 " Palin would have dismissed Couric as a buffoon and her other media critics as hardly worth considering. Most importantly, the Palin on display in Denver would be, at least, an equal for Hillary Clinton.

"Virginia gentleman" went on to say "she is on war footing and is not taking prisoners. I rather expected that she would take Obama to the woodshed and beat him bloody and I wasn't disappointed. She flayed the skin off of him! " One wonders how long President  Obama can take being beaten up verbally by Palin like this, especially as his media sycophants are deserting him one by one but if he does respond the new Palin will be ready as she was with her reply to Eric Holder in Denver.

Is Palin Act 2 on display in Denver the first real indication of a 2016 run? If it is it would be enough by itself to put  fear into the other potential candidates. This is indeed a formidable, tempered and tough politician and the media should take note, treat her with respect due to her station amongst the rank and file or they will, as in 2008, be left at the starting gate with dust and egg on their collective faces.

Virginia Gentleman's Straight Talk On Gov.Palin's Address Western Conservative Summit

I just finished watching Palins speech. First reaction; she is on war footing and is not taking prisoners. I rather expected that she would take Obama to the woodshed and beat him bloody and I wasn't disapointed. She flayed the skin off of him!

Eric Holder fared no better. He too, got the beating he so deserves! And lest we forget, Congress, yes, those do nothing whiners and complainers, got slapped around too for their timidity and downright moral cowardliness and inaction.
For the multitude of fools who now 'occupy' seats in Congress, she fleshed out what impeachable offenses are and tied EVERY one of them to Obama. It was easy! She simply took events as they have happened over the last 5 and 1/2 years and showed Obama's response, or perhaps I should say, his LACK of response to each crisis.
Was this a speech by a sideline cheerleader? Her detractors desperately hope so. Was this speech an old fashioned butt whooping of those same detractors? HELL YES!
As is my habit, I will watch the speech a few more times to glean any information I might have missed.
But I can tell you this, this speech was given by a woman who knows her destiny, and is taking the steps to fulfill that destiny. Not only is she running, she WILL win. Watch the fire in her eyes. The firm and purposeful set of her jaw. The supremely confident body language. You are looking at the woman who will be POTUS45. ›

We have grown accustomed to Tour de Force speeches by Sarah Palin over this past year. A case can be made that we are spoiled! lol
She has laid out, item by item, point by point, a well thought out blueprint for governance if she were the president. She has never run from her detractors, nor will she ever do so. She tackles each and every problem head on and she does so with vigor.
She is a master at using both self-effacing humor as well as using humor to rip her adversaries apart.
THIS year of 2014 has been quite different in the tone she has set, then in any previous year, including 2008.
We see a supremely confident woman, well versed and qualified on the pressing issues facing our nation, and a woman who has repeatedly offered up workable solutions to those problems. Has Obama done that? Hillary? Warren? Or ANY of the republican wannabees? NO! They have NOT! All we hear from them are pleadings and platitudes! "If you vote for ME, I'll fix things cause I have a plan!" So, why is it that they never lay out those plans? Sarah Palin has.
Where the other contenders spend their time telling us why 'things can't be done', Palin spends her time telling us HOW she would fix things and asks for our help in the doing. See the difference?
But in a season of great speeches and great articles such as she has presented this year, that ONE simple phrase at the end of todays speech fills my heart with gladness. What did she say to move VG's heart?
She said, "I HAVE YOUR BACKS!"
Now think about ALL of the connotations of that simple phrase.

Speaking only for myself, I believe that God is about to shake up the world, place the nations in new alignments, and RAISE UP a new and bold leader for America.
Will the next president of the United States be a woman? Yes, I believe so, but it will not be H.Clinton, Warren, or any other woman mentioned by the media.
Instead, it will be the woman whose 15 minutes of fame have long been over according to those "in the know", the woman whose own party leaders turned their backs on her, the woman who is so irrelevant that magazines, newspapers, talking heads and reporters CAN'T stop filling their pages with her image, her words, her thoughts.
For every single word she utters, ten million words are written about her. What ever she does, whether it be an interview, an article, or a speech delivered before a sell out audience, IT GOES VIRAL.

The world knows what is on her mind within moments after she has finished her presentation.
Friends, you can not BUY that kind of publicity. Not even Reagan, or Obama for that matter, received the sheer volume of press that Sarah Palin does.

She is unique. In a nation seeking a uniquely qualified leader, an in a world that fervently hopes America will get that leader and once again create stability in a very troubled world, we finally have that leader. She will not be elected by party.
She will be elected by the People, the grassroots, God loving, rifle toting, Bible thumping Christians and Jews in America.

    Selena Owens and Sarah Palin
    Selena Owens and Sarah Palin
I’m wondering where the American spirit is these days, because I’m encountering conversations and commentary pushing the notion that Sarah Palin, a prominent conservative politician and noted tea party champion of We the People, should concede and hush her mouths for the sake of Republicanism.
Specifically, I’m speaking of the former governor’s choice to proudly display some American spirit and tell Congress to impeach Barack Obama.
Yes, I am on the Palin bandwagon in this issue. Our country is at stake.
Sarah Palin is calling for Obama’s impeachment, citing the immigration crisis as “the last straw that makes the battered wife say ‘no mas.’” Barack Obama has proven time and again that he couldn’t care less about American principles, laws, or citizens. Impeachment has been the rally cry of conservatives for a few years, even from prominent leaders like Allen West and other congressmen. Barack Obama needs to go – or we forfeit America.
The title of a Facebook group I’m a member of hits the nail on the head: “It’s America or Obama; it Can’t be Both.” (Exactly, GOP.)
My colleague Lloyd Marcus, black conservative patriotic songwriter and chairman of Conservative Campaign Committee PAC, is one who proudly stands with Sarah Palin and led a charge I’m proud to follow. Marcus’ op-ed has been making waves on social media, disproving the notion that impeachment is about race, but rather about Obama’s destructive policies and the effect of those polices upon America’s future. Just to be clear, Palin stakes claim to 25 impeachable offenses Barack Obama is guilty of. So we’re not talking petty issues here. We’re talking mandating the unconstitutional Affordable Care Act upon Americans to IRS targeting of conservative groups to Benghazi to abuse of executive orders. What more do we need?
Sarah Palin is a prominent political figure who belongs to We the People and has absolutely nothing to do with political pandering. She makes waves and people take notice – especially Republicans who want to just go along to get along and try to ensure that their party’s image is not tarnished and that they can “safely” ensure votes by not allowing anyone to disturb their plans. So they want Palin to shut up and not rock the boat. Specifically, House Speaker John “I disagree” Boehner.
You would think the GOP would know better to expect anything less than a challenging confrontation and bold patriotism from the gutsy governor. Apparently, they don’t.
Conservatives expect Democrats like Eric Holder to hurl insults at Palin, but it’s another story when Republicans and media pundits like Bernard Goldberg label Palin’s call-to-action “beyond terrible.” Bill O’Reilly says Palin’s actions are a step in the wrong direction that would just make all of Obama’s other actions “recede,” because, consequently, media focus would be “all about this impeachment.”
Precisely, O’Reilly. We want media attention about impeaching Obama; that’s the plan.
But besides taking sides on who’s right or wrong or indifferent on impeaching our imperial president, this question stands out to me: Where’s the American spirit these days?
I can tell you where it’s not.
Obviously, the American spirit is nowhere in this current administration. Think Obamacare. Benghazi. IRS scandal. NSA spying. Immigration. Open borders. Gun control.
The American spirit is sorely missing in the ranks of GOP leadership, the one place it should be firmly entrenched.
It’s not present in some “conservative” political pundits.
And it’s definitely lacking in mainstream media.
Just where is the American spirit?
The American spirit is embodied in national political figures such as Sarah Palin – and others – who fight for the American people. The American spirit is embodied in local tea party leaders in Mississippi and Connecticut and Tennessee and anyone else who champions adherence to the two most fantastic documents revered worldwide: The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.
The American spirit is harbored deep within every American citizen who resolutely stands for American principles, the rule of law and constitutional adherence to our system of laws. And it’s housed in those who trust in the foundational biblical principles of our nation.
The American spirit must be embraced, championed, treasured and fought for especially in an age where just the opposite is hurled at us from the highest seat in the nation. No amount of pleasantries, party pandering and political pimping can help us at this point. In fact, such tactics helped propel us to the place where we are fighting tooth and nail to stave off deeply entrenched socialism in an attempt to regain a semblance of American idealism.
If we have any hope at all, it’s because we believe in and fight for what’s right in America, just like Sarah Palin does, no matter the fallout.
It’s time to be bold and to stand with the bold.
    That’s the American spirit.
