Iowa Newspaper Considers Gov. Palin Amongst 2016 "Standard Bearers" Sen.Grassley Comments

Amongst the interesting takeaways from this report from the Iowa Gazette

Even with Governor Christie's substantial re-election margin and the positive takeaways regarding Black and Hispanic support Senator Grassley does not make all that glowing a comment in my opinion. The qualifier is clear.

"How much of a boost is not certain, Grassley added.
“You get out there at the grassroots and try to sell your platform to the people who will vote in the caucuses,” he said, “but you have to be cognizant of the fact that winning the caucuses isn’t going to get you into the White House. You have to appeal to other people.”

The Gazette includes Governor Palin amongst possible "GOP standard bearers" for 2016. This after such candidacy has been dismissed by many in the media, Even with Palin's relatively low profile however she has figured remarkably in (a basically hidden) PPP Poll of potential 2016 GOP contenders. Her visit to Iowa as mentioned and of course e her book launch/tour will lift her profile further-most importantly with the potential Iowa caucus folks.

Sen. Chuck Grassley wants Iowa to pick the next president, but the Iowa Republican hasn’t picked a candidate to back in the first-in-the-nation precinct caucuses that begin the 2016 nomination process.
None of the people being mentioned as GOP standard-bearers – including Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, all who will be in Iowa this month — has asked for his support. and Grassley said Wednesday his “inclination right now, like it was last time, is to stay out” of the caucus race.
