Updated:2/1/15;Now 18; RNC Lists "32 Potential 2016 Presidential Candidates"

Since the original article was written Mitt Romney was added to the list of 32 potential Republican candidates for president-taking the list to 33, and now of course he has been removed. However as of this writing the number is a less cumbersome and more realistic 18.

I have arrived at that figure via:

Announced not running (Highlighted in RED; Click Link in BLACK)     4
Not chance in a million of running (Highlighted in GREEN)                   14
Still a possibility   (Highlighted in BLACK)                                                     18
UPDATE # 2 I have added in Carly Fiorina and Lindsey Graham, George Pataki  as per  links
which takes the total list to 36

The Washingtonian Examiner LINK reported the Republican national Commitee looked towards the 2016 presidential race and set out a list of potential GOP candidates:

"With the Democrats still licking their wounds from last week’s election losses, the Republican National Committee has pivoted to the 2016 presidential election and is offering up a list of 32 potential candidates,
“In 2016, we will have the opportunity again to elect principled conservative leaders, including one Republican qualified to take on the Democrat running for president,” said an email from the party, in an apparent reference to Hillary Clinton."

Here are all 32-print out the list and pin it to a convenient place to cross out the names, one by one, as they drop out or, in most cases, don't commence. Should Governor Palin announce she will be a candidate expect a substantial number of such dropping outs/not startings so keep a pencil handy for the purpose.
