"Obamacare: Death Panels&Liberal Control; Immediately Left went into attack called Palin liar & defended Obamacare to hilt."

STATE OF DELAWARE PUBLIC ISSUES

Obamacare: Death Panels and Liberal Control

FROM:

In August of 2009 Sarah Palin, in reference to the pending doom popularly  known as Obamacare, called the selected group of people who will be in charge of  determining the worthiness of everyone’s healthcare a death panel. Immediately  the left went into attack mode. They called Palin a liar and defended Obamacare  to the hilt. Palin cited section 1233 of HR 3200 as her reason for coming to  this conclusion. The left, of course, derided her for pointing out that the  obvious end game would be rationing of care by the panels who are charged with  “counseling” people on things like end of life decisions and living wills. To be  specific, page 430 of the above mentioned section clearly states;
“(B) The level of treatment indicated under subparagraph (A)(ii) may range  from an indication for full treatment to an indication to limit some or all or  specified interventions…”
When you read the Affordable Care Act verbiage, you do, indeed, see the  emergence of death panels, bureaucrats who will sit in an office far away from  you and decide you are not worthy of the cost of treatment, or that your case is  too severe, or you are too old. But hey, if you’re a liberal you are taught not  to let things like facts stand in the way of a good argument, especially when it  comes to those nasty conservatives.
Worse still, our young people are being further indoctrinated to accept  socialized medicine as the norm, as the right thing to do for the collective  good, and they are becoming more and more desensitized to death. The good of the  many out weights the good of the few, or the one. Already we have seen recent  generations regard their elders with disdain. Parents are afraid to discipline  their children for fear they won’t be liked, and for fear that a child or school  official will call authorities on them. Recent reports have doctors asking  children if their parents own firearms and there are rumors of children being  encouraged to report their parents (reminiscent of Hitler encouraging children  to report parents who were critical of the Nazi’s) for certain behaviors, though  I find no substantiation of that accusation. Still, you can see it coming.
But if liberals are so sure there will be no death panels, then why are they  trying to prepare our children for just such an occasion? Case in point: a high  school in St. Joseph, Illinois has a class called Social Science. Recently they  gave the children an assignment that required them to determine which six of ten  patients would receive critically needed medical care, with the clear  understanding that the other four would die if treatment was not received. These  children were to assign value to the lives of these ten people using information  like age, marital status, sex, number and ages of children, occupation and  ethnicity. Those who scored the highest would, presumably, receive treatment.  The lowest scoring four would be out of luck.
See the article and the assignment here:  http://www.championnews.net/?p=46699
See the Affordable Care Act here:  http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-111hr3200ih/pdf/BILLS-111hr3200ih.pdf
The Independent Payment Advisory Board, which is the official name of the  more apt moniker Death Panel, is seeing more and more opposition from the left,  however. Several Democrat senators and representatives have joined the call to  repeal the boards powers, including the three from Arizona, Reps Ron Barber, Ann  Kirkpatrick, and Krysten Sinema. Each of these face elections next year in a  state that proudly touts Jan Brewer as their governor. Recent attempts by  liberal legislators in Colorado to enact more restrictive gun laws saw two  legislators ousted in a recall. Arizona voters have indicated their distaste for  further restrictions of their liberties too, and it must have some legislators  thinking. While the Supreme Court struck down Arizona’s voter ID law recently,  conservatives in that state are not backing down. An Arizona Republican state  rep, Brenda Barton, recently referred to President Obama as “De Fuhrer” on her  facebook page, a move that garnered a lot of criticism from Democrats in her  home state, but is almost certainly indicative of the mood of her constituents.  Her comment was born of her disgust for Obama’s political strategy of closing  national parks and monuments during the government shutdown fight. And that  fight was born of the bigger fight to rid us of Obamacare, effectively making it  unenforceable by defunding it.
Liberals, however, have asserted their desire to see a more fair society that  is inclusive of everyone and takes care of all people. To this end, they want  free education, healthcare, and in some cases, housing. It has proven futile to  explain how economics works to them. While these things may end up being free to  those who would take advantage of such things, they are never free. There is  always a cost. The question is, who pays it? The schmucks who have a work ethic  and ambition, that’s who. Of course, in this increasingly fair society, someone  has come to the realization that Obamacare and other socialist ideals are  hurting the working man. Namely, the unions. Unions are accountable for many  millions in campaign contributions and the majority of it goes to Democrats.  Unions supported Obamacare, even spending money to buy ads to promote it. In  return, they were made promises, according to union leaders, including James  Hoffa. The insurance plans that unions have fought to perfect over the decades  are now in jeopardy, contrary to what unions were told would happen. Oddly, the  unions promote Obamacare for everyone else but are livid at the notion that they  may be included. Now they want their own waiver.
The idea of some panel of bureaucrats in Washington deciding whether or not  my mother should receive care based on their idea of her worth sickens me. The  fact that fairness, to a liberal, is defined by what they want for everyone  else, and not what might actually be fair (not that life is fair), reminds me of  tyranny at its worst. Keep an eye on things close to home. Check your kids  homework. Some of us must work to stop the progression of socialism in this  nation. We must be ever diligent.

The Strange New Feminist World Of Rebecca Schoenkopf

At Wonkette,  or more properly at their new "arts and culture"(sic) site "HappyNiceTimePeople.com" is this extraordinary article: "Sad Whore Website SeekingArrangement.com* Can Do Better Than Sydney Leathers As Its New Spokesbaby"
LINK

As is usual, the post's author one Rebecca Schoenkopf, self-admitted as "the worst journalist (sic) in the world" gets her basic facts wrong (it's all sadly detailed in the article). But the point at issue here, one of much mystification, is where are we at with feminism?

Are we (I am a Palglia-ite-feminist for the record) at a moment in time of feminism, post-feminism, feminist pre-feminism, post-post feminism? Are women "wymn" now (again), has "S.C.U.M." come back into fashion?

It's all so confusing and Schoenkopf's article on the charming Sydney Leathers only adds to the confusion.(sexist attack alert-I know I'm not allowed to call wymn/women/beings with ovaries in such chauvinistic terms but to be fair I call all variations of gender whom I find charming-charming)

Under the present state of feminism it appears to be perfectly OK to use this terminology about another woman;
"You have all heard of Sydney Leathers, because she is a sad whore who is really good at publicity." Of course if a person of gender possessing a scrotum made such a statement they would, presumably, have the wrath of Juno or some other Goddess of feminist wrath descend upon them.

Or would they? Perhaps in the new feminist paradigm it is perfectly OK to call someone one only knows through the media as a whore. Yes, I'm terribly old fashioned and have not caught up with the new freedom to denigrate another in such terms, nor am I up to date with where condemnation of a female by a female is allowable.

Surely for that to happen the condemned female must have done something super terrible-are we talking Lizzie Borden or Aileen Wuornos sort of mass murderer, or more probably given Wonkette's bent about Sarah Palin?

No, the terrible crime against feminism appears to be being a "kept woman" or rather being a"sugarbaby" in the possession of a "sugar daddy."

"We at HappyNiceTimePeople.com and our sister websiteTerribleNewsForTerriblePeople.com are unabashedly pro-whoring, paid or unpaid. Except when it is wrapped up in the execrable terms “sugardaddy” and “sugarbaby” and promises girls it is totally not sex work and just, like, a super cool way to buy important things like awesome handbags, in which case fuck you, gross, just be honest and be an escort, dude.)"

Leaving aside the other puzzling aspect of whatever feminism Schoenkopf and ilk subscribe to-the apparent need to use curse words as being as much required in sentences as "the, and, if" etc ( I don't know any men who feel this need, perhaps feminists see it as some sort of "ballsy" affection-who knows?) can we dissect the above paragraph for clues?

No we can't. The thought process appears to belong to an arcane world view-a mixture of some sort of view of feminist liberation with an almost Victorian prudishness. Actually therein lies a clue. If we note that Schoenkopf is "commiegirl" raised in that milieu we note that the Bolsheviks possessed exactly that dichotomy.

Lenin's wife was an ardent pursuer of women's rights whilst both her marriage, and Stalin's, were exemplary instances of middle class fidelity and steadfastness. So Leathers can be called a whore in a radical leftist site which condemns women for some sort of apparent hypocrisy if they have a relationship which garners them wealth, but not direct payment for selling their bodies which is perfectly OK with Wonkette's philosphy.

What has not (as far as I know) been addressed in this new world retro-progressive feminism is, is "sugar-mommyism" OK? That is, can a wealthy lesbian buy Coach handbags for her inamorata without being condemned by Wonkette? So many questions in our brave new world.

And what do do with the likes of Marion Davies-a classic "sugardaddy" case if there ever was one? Marion never married her man, got a lot more than handbags as a glance at Hearst castle shows. Yet she remained dedicated and loyal to the irascible Hearst all her life which was devoted to philanthropy. But is Davies condemned by the new feminism as "an escort dude"? We really need to have these puzzling matters defined so everyone knows what not to do so the stern glare of the progressive eye doesn't alight on one.

From Wikipedia

Marion Davies (January 3, 1897 – September 22, 1961) was an American film actress, producer, screenwriter, and philanthropist.
Davies was already building a solid reputation as a film comedienne when newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst, with whom she had begun a romantic relationship, took over management of her career. Hearst financed Davies pictures, promoted her heavily through his newspapers and Hearst Newsreels, and pressured studios to cast her in historical dramas for which she was ill suited. For this reason, Davies is better remembered today as Hearst's mistress and the hostess of many lavish events for the Hollywood elite. In particular, her name is linked with the 1924 scandal aboard Hearst's yacht where one of his guests, film producer Thomas Ince, died.
In the film Citizen Kane (1941), the title character's wife—an untalented singer whom he tries to promote—was widely assumed to be based on Davies. But many commentators, including Citizen Kane writer/director Orson Welles himself, have defended Davies' record as a gifted actress, to whom Hearst's patronage did more harm than good. She retired from the screen in 1937, choosing to devote herself to Hearst and charitable work.
In Hearst's declining years, Davies provided financial as well as emotional support until his death in 1951. She married for the first time eleven weeks after his death, a marriage which lasted until Davies died of stomach cancer in 1961 at the age of 64.

Headline I'd Never Thought I'd See;Daily Kos "Via Sarah Palin: How Obama's Idiotic ACA Might Lead to Real Healthcare Reform"

"Via Sarah Palin: How Obama's Idiotic ACA Might Lead to Real Healthcare Reform"

Yes, that is an actual headline at far left Daily Kos LINK from an article written by a far left high profile figure. As would be expected from such an article at such a place considerable internecine warfare and name calling erupts.

The article includes this:" Sarah Palin articulates this — hey, there are four words you don't usually see at the same time — in an October 20th blog post: and it ends with this, no it is not a piece from the Daily Currant " I never thought I'd say this, but: From Sarah Palin's lips to God's ears".

"And, I can't believe I am writing this;"No, Governor Palin, the truth behind the ACA mess is that Obama and his gang of golfing buddies are idiots."

Of course there are jabs at Governor Palin, how could there not be, but the general tenor is that Palin was right about President Obama's healthcare legislation being a disaster even if for, as the writer sees it, the wrong reasons. The bottom line, that President Obama's team are incompetents, is shared by Palin and the author Ted Rall.

Newsbusters has a chortling review by Noel Sheppard "Lib Cartoonist Ted Rall: 'Truth Behind ACA Mess Is Obama and His Gang of Golfing Buddies Are Idiots' which can be enjoyed
AT THIS LINK

"People familiar with liberal cartoonist and polemicist Ted Rall will be shocked by a piece he published at Daily Kos Friday wherein he actually agreed with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
Trust me, they'll likely be even more shocked with what he had to say about President Obama.
At the center of Rall's piece was Palin's October 20 article wherein she joined a number of conservative commentators in claiming ObamaCare was intentionallly screwed up in order to bring about the liberal dream of a single-payer system."
This article at Kos is just one of a number from centrist and leftists that have appeared across the media which begin " I cant' believe I am saying this but Sarah Palin was right" which trickle will become a flood as time passes and the scales drop from their eyes.

The incredible Iowahawk (David Burge) at his acerbic best:

Hi Neighbor!

Special Guest Commentary
by the Sarah Palin Homunculus that Lives Inside Liberals' Heads
Knockity knock!
Oh hi there! I was out shooting caribou on the Arctic Cat and saw your synapse lights on, and so I said to myself, "now, gosh darn it, Sarah, you've been living inside this nice person's cerebral cortex for, what is it, almost two years now? By golly, it's about time you dropped in at their frontal lobe with a plate of your famous homemade Alaska welcome wagon cookies and introduced yourself." So anyhoo, I sure hope you like 'em. Don't want to give out a family recipe, but the secret ingredient is baby seal. I clubbed 'em fresh this morning!
Oh my goodness... you look kind of confused. I get that a lot! You were probably thinking, "hey, I only wanted to move next door to Sarah Palin -- now what in the goshdarned heck is she doing inside my brain?" Well ya see, the deal is I'm not Sarah, but boy I gotta tell ya, we sure do get mistaken all the time! No, I'm just a plain ol' homunculus Sarah Palin that your own id created to sublimate your deep-seated psychosexual neuroses. Or so those egghead books say, anyway. But if you ask me that sure sounds like a lot of elite Anti-America liberal professor gobbledegook! By the way, your id says hi.
Gosh darn it, where the heck are my manners? Here I am, gabbing away, like some plainspoken chatty old chatterbox, while you've probably got things to do. I imagine you've got an important op-ed or comedy skit to write about that other Sarah Palin, the one from corporeal reality. And why she's irrelevant and ridiculous and such. Oh no, don't worry, I won't take it personal. After all I'm not her, remember? Though I bet it can probably get confusing trying to keep straight which one of us is which, and who really said what. Tell you what -- why don't you just take the cookies as my gift, and I'll drop by later when it's more convenient. Or, if you like, I'll just be on my way and let you live in peace. You tell me. After all, I'm really only a figment of your imagination. Just stop thinking about me, and poof -- I'll mush the ol' dogsled straight back to your subconscious forever.
Alright, if you insist! Like they say, you should never be too busy to visit with those obsessive hallucinations who live in your head. Now you go brew up a hot pot of Folgers, and I'll take the Saran wrap off those cookies. Mind if I take a quick look-see around while you're fiddling in the kitchen?  I gotta say this sure is a beautiful anterior conscious you've got here! I absolutely love the open floor plan. It reminds me a lot of Andrew Sullivan's brain. How many square feet did you say? So spacious and clean and open minded, with the neutral colors. I could really see myself in a place like this, especially with a few moose heads and Eskimo dolls to brighten things up.
Say now, that's one heckuva bookshelf you've got! Mind if I browse? Not much of a reader myself, other than the good book of course... let's see... 101 Things You Didn't Know About Sarah Palin... Going Rouge: An American Nightmare ... Sarah Palin's Secret Diary ...Terminatrix: The Sarah Palin Chronicles ... The Lies of Sarah Palin ... Thanks But No Thanks: A Voter Guide to Sarah Palin ... You Betcha!: The Witless Wisdom of Sarah Palin... Hockey Mom: Sarah Palin's Shot at Glory ... Going Rude: Sarah Palin ... wow! With all that heavy reading you do, it sure must be hard keeping up with your housework!
Oh, there we are! By golly, that coffee sure smells great. Skim milk no sugar for me thanks, gotta watch the ol' figure. How about the two of us have a sit down on the couch and get to know each other, because I have a feeling we're gonna be spending a lot of time together. You betcha, a whole lot of time. I always say it's important to get to really know folks, especially if you're gonna be camping out in their cerebellum for a few years. Because sometimes you can get off on the wrong foot, ya know?  I'm guilty of it myself sometimes. Ya know, as much as I go off and complain about those goshdarn Washington and Hollywood elites, I gotta say those folks are just about the most welcoming, hospitable people on God's green earth. I swear, once they invite you in their head, they'll insist you help yourself their last neuron! Take that Tina Fey for instance. She's pretty much given me the run of her place, rent free. Her id says it's because she has severe body image anxieties, but if you ask me I think she's just lonely and needs somebody to talk to.
Say, do you mind if I use your little girl's room? I just realized I'm going into labor. Back in a jiff!
.
.
.
Phew! Sorry that took so long, it was triplets this time. Aren't they adorable? This is one is Calc, this is Tangent, this is Locust. I tell them apart by their chubby... widdo... fingos..coochie coochie coochie! Oh. Oh, darn, I am so, so, so sorry. And here your ego just mentioned to me that thing about your repressed Electra complex and your fertility inadequacy issues. I hope you realize I didn't mean to insult or belittle you or anything by giving birth just now. I don't know what it is, but I just can't help having those babies!
Now where were we? Oh yes, Tina Fey. Now, just the other day Tina... umm... is everything all right? I mean, you have the strangest look in your subthalamus. Oh...! Oh, this. The bikini. Funniest thing. Turns out once I'm inside a liberal's head, It's like poof! Off with the clothes. I tell ya, it's gotten to the point that I really don't even notice it anymore. No, don't be embarrassed or ashamed, most of your friends don't even give me the bikini.
Whoa! Did you feel that? I think I felt a little earthquake! Oh -- I see. It was just you, banging your head against the stair banister trying to get me out of it. Trust me, you might as well give up on that, because it's not gonna work. Just ask Tina Fey.  Say, what's this on your coffee table - a scrapbook? Goodness sakes, I love scrapbooking! It's so much fun isn't it? And such a wholesome pastime to keep American families connected. Do you mind if I take a look at yours?
Now that's different... I gotta say I don't think I've ever seen this many pictures of me in one place. And all of them with the eyes cut out! Now, maybe I never went to a fancypants college like you did, but I can tell that is very artsy and avant garde. I wonder what it means? No, no -- don't give me any hints! Is it some kind of latent pathological response to the struggle between your libidinal and destrudinal impulses?
Are you okay? You don't look so well. That's a good idea -- let's go out on the deck and get some fresh spring air. Boy, you sure have a lot of telescopes and binoculars and listening devices out here! Are you an amateur astronomer? Well then, you sure as heck picked a great spot. You can't beat Alaska for stargazing this time of year!
Well, I'll be darned -- did you know I can see all the way to Sarah Palin's house from your occipital?

Newspaper Slams Media Distortion of Palin-Calls Out Media For Ignoring Harry Reid's Ignorance

Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., pauses during a news conference after passing a bill to raise the debt ceiling and fund the government on Capitol Hill.

A good chunk of America knows Sarah Palin’s reading habits as far as newspapers — or the lack thereof — and that Palin supposedly can see Russia from her house in Alaska (a phrase the former GOP vice presidential candidate never said, by the way.)
However, how many are aware that Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., the Senate majority leader, evidently is not aware how the U.S. Constitution works?
As some media noted recently (and some media ignored), Reid — when he was apparently rankled at the GOP during the federal government shutdown — asked what right Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives had to “pick and choose what part of government gets funded.”
As those who are paying attention have pointed out, the U.S. Constitution includes this right.
Ironically, we offer this from the United States Senate website (www.senate.gov): “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other bills.” — Article 1, Section 7.
For the Senate majority leader to indicate that the House (and we’re talking House Republicans) had no right to attempt to fund parts of the federal government during a government shutdown deserves at least as much media attention as irrelevant or nonexistent sound bites attributed to a vice presidential candidate.
