ABC News has the results from the first two midnight poll closing towns in New Hampshire-the first in the nation to record the vote tallies.
With a total of 42 votes cast President Obama is way out in front with 28 votes and Mitt Romney with half his total at 14 votes. However there are a large number of votes still to be counted across America so this is not necessary an indication of the final result!
For Republicans there is a big change from 2008 in first to count votes Dixville Notch. Then Obama had 71.4% (15 votes) to McCain's 28.6% (6 votes) thus the GOP is up by 21.4 (and Obama down by that figure). It is not known yet if 100% of Dixvillians voted this time as happened in 2008.
In 2012, Obama won both towns combined 28-14. In 2008, he won both towns 32-16.
